Lifting equipment
Lifting equipment is used in many ways during production and installation to move components and assemblies. It comes in a wide variety of designs, for example:
- spreader beams
- vacuum lifters
- crane forks
- clamps
- custom designs
Lifting equipment has to withstand the loads that arise. To ensure this during development, we offer verification by analysis to the applicable codes. Whether the item is a lifting accessory or a machine component, and which code applies, must be agreed with the client during the quotation phase — as must the expected load cycles.
Common codes include:
- EN 13155 (Cranes — Safety — Non-fixed load lifting attachments)
- EN 1993 (Design of steel structures)
- FKM guideline
- EN 13001 (Cranes — General design)
- ASME BTH-1 (Design of Below-the-Hook Lifting Devices)
If your customer requires an approved analysis, we can additionally arrange for our analysis to be reviewed by TÜV. In that case you receive not only our report suitable for third-party review but also the TÜV inspection certificate, confirming that the lifting accessory has been designed in accordance with the code.
