Enquiry guideline / preparing your enquiry:

So that you are prepared for our thirst for information, here are the points we most commonly need in order to prepare a quotation: (sooner or later we will ask you about the following, among other things:)

  • Who is the final report intended for? For internal use, or for acceptance by your customer or a notified body?
  • What loads are present (peak loads, recurring loads / fatigue, shock/impulse)?
  • What do the mating parts look like? How is the system supported?
  • Does an applicable code (FKM, Eurocode, EN 13445, AD 2000, ASME, EN 13155, ...) have to be taken into account when evaluating the results? If so, which one?
  • Have you defined any required safety factors?
  • What temperature range is the system operated in?
  • Which materials are used?
  • Are bolts involved? If so, what size, property class and tightening torque? Do they need to be verified by analysis?
  • Are there welds? If so, what throat thickness do they have and how are they welded (single-sided / full penetration)?
  • Is a stability verification required? If so, indoor or outdoor installation? Where is the plant located (seismic spectrum, wind loads, snow loads)? For seismic loads, the checklist for seismic analysis will help you gather the relevant data

We are of course also happy to go through these questions together by phone or in a web meeting.
